Dr. Nasser Yusuf is a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Sunrise with 30 years of surgical experience — one of the most senior and respected cardiothoracic surgeons in Kerala. A gold medallist from KMC Manipal, he performed the first coronary artery bypass surgery in Malabar in 1998 — a landmark that brought open-heart surgical capability to northern Kerala for the first time. He is the pioneer of VATS (Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) at Sunrise, and has extensive experience in thoracic surgery for tuberculosis, advanced lung cancer, bilateral bronchiectasis, and lung volume reduction.
