Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) or equivalent.
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) preferred.
Valid registration/license as per applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience:
Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, clinic, or special education setting.
Experience in pediatric and adult rehabilitation is preferred.
Clinical Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
Provide speech and language therapy to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Diagnose and manage communication disorders arising from developmental delays, neurological conditions, hearing impairments, stroke, traumatic brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, and other medical conditions.
Evaluate and treat swallowing (dysphagia) disorders.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
Maintain accurate patient records, assessment reports, and treatment documentation.
Patient & Family Education
Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy goals, treatment plans, and home exercise programs.
Provide counseling and support to families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
Conduct awareness programs and educational sessions when required.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, audiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Coordinate referrals and follow-up care as needed.
Quality & Compliance
Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control guidelines.
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and audits.
